Single-color tracing for drawings and scans
Black & white mode turns every pixel darker than the threshold into ink and leaves the rest transparent. It is the right mode for line art, handwriting, signatures, stamps, stencils and documents scanned or photographed on paper.
Move the threshold to keep fine strokes or, on the contrary, to remove paper texture and shadows. The result is a one-color SVG, ready for cutting machines, laser engraving or printing.
How it works
Drop your image
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF, up to 20 MB. Drag it in, browse your files or paste it with Ctrl+V.
Vectorize
Colors are detected, the background is removed, and outlines become curves, straight lines and circular arcs.
Refine and download
Compare with the original, tweak the settings or the shapes in the editor, then download the SVG file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the threshold?
Raise it if thin lines disappear, lower it if shadows or paper grain show up as black spots. Vectorize again after each change and compare with the original.
Can I vectorize a handwritten signature?
Yes. Photograph or scan it on white paper in good light, then use black & white mode: you get a transparent-background SVG that can be placed on any document.
Can I change the color afterwards?
Yes. In the built-in editor, select the shapes and choose any color; in an SVG file, the color is a simple attribute that any vector software can change.
