From JPG to vector, without the artifacts
JPG compression blurs edges and adds stray shades around them. Traced naively, those artifacts turn into dozens of tiny shapes. Pixlss groups similar shades into a reduced palette and always merges the transition shades along the edges, so the SVG keeps only the colors that matter.
The result is a lightweight SVG file, sharp at any size, which you can then retouch in the built-in editor or in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma.
How it works
Drop your image
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF, up to 20 MB. Drag it in, browse your files or paste it with Ctrl+V.
Vectorize
Colors are detected, the background is removed, and outlines become curves, straight lines and circular arcs.
Refine and download
Compare with the original, tweak the settings or the shapes in the editor, then download the SVG file.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a photo taken with my phone?
Yes, but a photograph is made of gradients and fine detail: its SVG version is a stylized, posterized image. For a logo or a drawing photographed on paper, black & white mode often gives the cleanest result.
Is there a difference between JPG and JPEG?
No, they are two extensions for the same format. Both are accepted, as well as PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and TIFF.
My JPG is heavily compressed: what should I do?
Lower the maximum number of colors in the advanced settings and increase the simplification tolerance: small noisy areas disappear and the outlines become smoother.
